There is no better way to end the year than to be serenaded by top class entertainment by the two greatest Bollywood superstars. While Shah Rukh Khan can be seen in the new release of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, next week marks the release of the years biggest project Ghajini. Voted as the most eagerly awaited movie of the year, the action thriller features the perfectionist Aamir Khan together, with South Indian actress Asin and sexy Jiah Khan. A remake of the Tamil movie of the same title, the movie revolves around a guy suffering from temporary memory loss who goes in search of his wife's killer and is also directed by the original director Murgadass.

Shot extensively in Cape Town and Namibia, this promises to be one the best movie of the year, considering it will release with a record of 1200 prints across the world. Beside the cast being specially requested by Khan to remain tight-lipped about the movie, the genius actor also worked on building his physique within a 30 day period and the result is nothing short of spectacular. Music wise the movie boasts a fantastic soundtrack by A.R Rehman featuring the super hit Guzarish and the brilliant Bekha, which has Aamir showcased in 6 different characters.

Last year this time Aamir released the Oscar nominated Taare Zameen Par, now be prepared for another award winning movie that is set to rock the box office collections across the world in typical Aamir Khan style.

 

Kidnap - Sanjay Dot, Imran Khan and Minisha Lamba -

After the success of his directorial debut Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi, director Sanjay Ghadhvi struck gold when he made the action flick Dhoom which was declared a super hit. A few years later he made Dhoom 2 - a far more slick high voltage action thriller with a great starcast of Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu.

Now the talented film-maker is getting ready for the release of his next movie titled Kidnap. Starring Sanjay Dutt, Imran Khan and Minisha Lamba in the lead roles, this action thriller revolves around a kidnapping. Sanjay Dutt plays the role of a wealthy arrogant businessman, while Minisha plays his daughter who is kidnapped by an angry young man out to seek revenge played by Imran Khan - who made a brilliant debut in the romantic blockbuster Jaane Tu Na Jaane Na a few months ago.

The talented nephew of superstar Aamir Khan who was in Durban recently spoke to 48 hours and said "My debut movie was meant to be a small movie and I was not nervous, however with Kidnap I am working with the great Sanjay Dutt who helped me a lot and I am extremely nervous seeing that I am playing a character with negative shades and this is the toughest thing I have done thus far. I am also biting my nails worried whether people would accept my character in this movie". Thus begins a game of wit and scheming strategies as each one tries to outdo the other with deadly consequences

Love Story 2050 - IMRAAN VS HARMAN

After months of speculation - the big clash between newcomers Imraan Khan and Harman Baweja has finally happened. Harman Baweja, the handsome son of film-maker Harry Baweja makes his debut opposite Priyanka Chopra in Love Story 2050 – a futuristic romance that has been described as one of the most exciting ventures from Bollywood.

Harman, who bares a striking resemblance to Hrithik Roshan has already been signed by some of the biggest banners in the industry including Ashutosh Gowariker and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Using the greatest technicians from Hollywood, Love Story has taken at least 4 years to be made and one of the major delays with the casting of the leading lady. Though Kareena Kapoor was the first choice for the role, it was Priyanka Chopra who stepped in after the Kapoor lass apparently fussed about money issues.

Though the couple have yet to confirm, insiders also claim that Harman and Priyanka have been dating for a while. The movie also has a superb soundtrack by Anu Malik who has re-invented himself with some wonderful songs like Milo Na Milo, Meelo Ka and Mausam Achanak.

The other newcomer set to make a huge impact is Imraan Khan – the nephew of superstar Aamir Khan, who produces the college love story Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, where Imraan is paired opposite the talented Genelia De Sousza. This movie brings back memories of Aamir’s debut Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and promises to a box office blockbuster.

According to Imraan, he never really wanted to become an actor and always considered becoming a movie director, however after meeting Abbas Tyrewala, they hit it off instantly and Imraan was then immediately cast as the hero in Jaane Tu Na Jaane Na. Though Genelia did some good work in South Indian Cinema and also featured in a miniscule role in Maasti, it was Aamir who was exceptionally impressed by the talented actress who has subsequently signed some big banner movies.

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na has been described as a young, energetic college romance that will appeal to everyone.

Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic

Award winning director Kunal Kohli, the maker of movies like of Mujshe Dosti Karoge, Hum Tum and Fanaa returns with a movie featuring Saif Ali Khan as the guardian of four orphaned kids, while Rani Mukerjee plays the role of an angel who arrives in their lives disguised as a nanny hoping to strengthen their troublesome relationship. In the process, the angel who is on a strict mission begins to undergo a journey of love and romance. The movie also features Rishi Kapoor and Amisha Patel.

Jodhaa-Akbar

The maker of the Oscar nominated Lagaan - Ashutosh Gowariker returns with a historical drama featuring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwariya Rai in the lead roles about the romance between an Emperor and his Hindu Rajput Princess that could lead to devastation, when she uncovers an untold truth about her marriage. Roshan and Rai were last together in the blockbuster Dhoom 2. Jodhaa-Akbar is set to be this years Valentines release.

Kismet Konnection

Aziz Mirza the talented director of blockbusters like Yes Boss and Chalte Chalte brings together the fresh pairing of Shahid Kapur and Vidya Balan for a romantic comedy dealing with fate. Incidentally there were loads of rumours claiming of a blossoming romance between the lead pair after Shahid and Kareena Kapoor split. Shahid is riding a crest of the wave since the super success of Jab We Met, while Balan has become one of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood.

Race

Set within the background of horse-racing and shot extensively in Durban, this thriller features Akshaye Khanna, Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu and Sameera Reddy. Abbas Mastan who made superb thrillers like Humraaz and Aitraaz direct this movie that deals with the tale of two brothers who breed horses. Their world is shattered with the arrival of a sexy model, who creates a rift between the brothers

Delhi 6

Award winning director Rakesh Mehra of Rang De Basanti fame has signed Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor for his next film, a semi-autobiographical take on Mehra's life. The strange title Delhi 6 comes from the postal code of the area in and around Chandni Chowk in Delhi, where Mehra spent his early years

Taashan

The latest couple in Bollywood Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor will be seen together with Akshay Kumar for this slick action flick to be produced by Yash Raj Pictures. The movie is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya the screenplay writer for Dhoom. Anil Kapoor has a negative role, while Saif's son also makes his debut in this movie. Saif and Akshay have featured in blockbusters like Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Yeh Dillagi

Main Yuvraaj

After a major fallout director Subash Ghai and Salman Khan have settled their differences and are working together on a musical that also features Khan's lady love Katrina Kaif. The movie also features Anil Kapoor and Zayed Khan. Ghai has made blockbusters like Taal and Pardes U Me Aur Hum After Aamir Khan, another actor - Ajay Devgan turns director with this movie that features him in the lead role opposite his wife Kajol.

This eagerly awaited romantic comedy also features Isha Sharwani and Karan Khanna. The husband and wife team previously starred together in hits like Ishq and Pyar To Hona Hi Tha

After making two amazing movies in Salaam Namaste and Ta Ra Rum Pum, Siddarth Anand has secured his childhood friend and rising superstar Ranbir Kapoor for a project that has four leading ladies including Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Minissha Lamba. Khan

If this movies makes the list this year, then it promises to be the biggest blockbuster. Directed by Karan Johar of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Khabi Alvida Na Kehna fame, the movie could see the return of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol - undoubtedly the most successful Bollywood on screen couple ever.
